Meet the Team
Dr. David Metzdorf Jr.
Dr. Metzdorf Jr. (or “Dr. Dave,” as he is affectionately known to his patients) was born and raised in the Washington, DC metro area. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Maryland. He then attended the University of Maryland’s dental school and received his DDS in 1998.
In his spare time, Dr. Metzdorf enjoys sailing, repairing cars (and anything else that he can get his hands on), playing guitar, and spending time with his wife and pets.
Dr. Metzdorf is known for his warm manner and gentle humor. He loves getting to know his patients over the many years that he sees them. He treats patients as if they were part of his own family.
The most rewarding part of Dr. Metzdorf’s job is being able change the negative stereotype about coming to the dentist that a patient might have. He also enjoys discussing how to be proactive with oral hygiene so small problems don’t become larger ones down the road.
Meet our dental staff
Olga
Dental Hygienist
Olga brings a calm and caring presence to our practice, helping patients feel at ease and well-supported during their visits. With a deep passion for health and wellness, Olga found her calling in dental hygiene after discovering the vital link between oral health, overall well-being, and even how we express ourselves through our smiles.
To Olga, a confident, healthy smile is a universal language—and she’s dedicated to helping every patient achieve theirs with gentle, personalized care.
Originally from California, Olga now calls Fairfax County home, where she and her husband enjoy being part of a vibrant, welcoming community. Outside the office, she embraces a balanced lifestyle through cooking wholesome meals, staying active, and relaxing with her electric guitar.
Olga is proud to be part of each patient’s journey to improved oral health and is committed to creating a positive and comfortable dental experience for all.
Amelia
Dental Assistant
Amelia is the latest and greatest addition to the office. New to the dental field, she brings a great attitude and a strong desire to grow—she’s even planning to pursue dental hygiene school in the future.
Amelia loves the calm, welcoming atmosphere of the practice and enjoys being part of a team that helps patients feel comfortable and cared for. Her cheerful energy and willingness to learn make her a great support to both patients and staff
When she's not at work, Amelia is all about family time. She loves swimming, going out to dinner, seeing movies with her kids, and cheering them on at their sports games. She's also a big fan of trying new restaurants and getting in some dancing whenever she can. At home, she shares her life with two lovable dogs in addition to her kids—a loveable black lab and a sassy husky.
Meet our office staff
Lisa
Office Manager
As our office manager, Lisa is dedicated to creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for every patient who walks through our doors. With a background shaped by life in a military family, Lisa developed a love for meeting new people and adapting to new environments—skills that serve her well in the fast-paced world of dental care.
Her passion for dentistry began early. Believe it or not, Lisa was one of those rare kids who actually loved getting braces and was fascinated by the process! That early interest has grown into a fulfilling career where she ensures patients feel heard, cared for, and confident in their care.
Lisa and her husband call rural Virginia home. Outside the office, she enjoys fishing, collecting antiques, cooking up something delicious, and spending time with their children, grandchildren and playing with her energetic (and adorable) Great Dane.
Marie
Receptionist/Insurance Specialist
Marie is the friendly face who greets you when you walk through our doors. As our receptionist, she brings warmth, professionalism, and a genuine passion for making every patient feel welcome and at ease.
With a background in education, Marie spent several years as a substitute teacher before joining the dental field. Her experience in the classroom helped her develop strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people—qualities that shine through in every patient interaction.
Marie is known for her kind and helpful nature, always ready to lend a hand or brighten someone’s day with a warm smile. She takes pride in creating a positive, welcoming experience from the moment you arrive.
When she’s not at the front desk, you’ll often find Marie reading a good book, tending to her garden, or exploring local hiking trails.
